Honeymooning in Playa del Carmen?

We are staying at the all inclusive playacar palace. But what is there to do off the resort. I know the farrie to cozzomel is right next to the hotel, and I have seen the Ruins at Coba. What I'm looking for is the overlooked stuff in the are. Also what are some of the good bars/clubs in the area.
